An industrial facility and civilian residence have been targeted in deadly attacks by Russian war planes near the city of Idlib.

At least seven civilians were killed and 15 others were injured by Russian airstrikes on Thursday as an industrial facility and a house near two villages, west of the city of Idlib in Northern Syria, were targeted, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

The area was also hit by a surface-to-surface missile loaded with cluster bombs.

The attacks were followed by other airstrikes during the day on various locations in the same area, with no further casualties reported.

The airstrikes came a week after the Russian airstrikes carried out on August 31, SOHR said.

Turkish state agency AA confirmed the recent attacks as it put the fatalities at five.

Five civilians were killed and at least eight were injured in a stone quarry near the village of Hafsarjah by airstrikes conducted by four Russian war planes, AA said, citing an official of the "White Helmets", a civil defense organization of volunteers.

The official, Munir Mustafa, said that operations continue to rescue people buried under the rubble.
